Her question is greeted with the pulsing feeling of excitement and pride at how she manages to take to the floating easily enough. Not too far down. He assures her, pausing to let the waves lap against them, positioning himself to where he takes the brunt of the incoming waves to keep her end relatively calm.

He hums, resurfacing his face to peer at her with a steel eye within a splotch of white. A dead one will look... Well, dead. Not colorful, hollow, kind of like bone.
