"Yeah... training... 's good." They regarded the pointy spear bit.

Giving up actually sounded pretty good about now. Their tummy hurt something fierce, and their leg was throbbing. But they were going to be a Loreseeker! They had to do this!! But I don't know how... They were used to using their brain, not their body. That had always worked before. So... maybe there was a way to do that here, too?

Those pretty fae wings were fluttering, lifting her off the ground, so she had the height advantage... but it also meant she was less stable, no hard earth beneath her feet. This was going to be a gamble.

They scrambled to get their feet under them and launched themselves upward, grabbing for the spear again not only to get hold of it, but to push it away from their delicate, easy-to-poke-holes-in body. "Loreseekers never give up!" they cried.
