Lowering his hand, he gave the newcomer a surprisingly sympathetic look. "Now that you're here, in Caido, there's...no way to return to your world. And you're...not really yourself. You're a...a copy, you might say, of the person you were in your old world, reconstructed here in this one." The Ascended spoke carefully, and his eyes studied the other man's for any sign of distress.
When Josh turned down Amun's rather generous offer, he grinned easily. "Fair enough. Can't blame a guy for trying when he sees someone cute."
