Sadly, nothing seemed to appear for Oliver. Part of him was beginning to regret not killing the snakes, but something just felt wrong about doing that. The things hadn't even tried to attack him and they wouldn't make good food, so he saw no reason to steal away their lives from them.
Instead, he used this failure as pure motivation, moving onwards to find more animals to hopefully bring back to his group. He would try even harder than last time, smelling the air as much as he could and using his eyes and ears as much as he could, looking around and listening for even the faintest of sounds. There would be an animal brought down: he just knew it. Oliver had to prove to the others that he could hunt.
