Oliver's ferocity was still audible, though, even if it was at a distance, and Jigano felt a trickle of amusement at the young man's determination. A deer and a pheasant is a fine catch between us, he reassured Rance as the rest of the herd made their escape. Those animals left might have tempted the pallet of a wolf or true dragon, but the bard judged them too old and stringy to be of good eating stock for the humans of the Hollowed Grounds.
