Gods how she hated how sulky she was being. She needed to straighten up, to thank Jack for showing up int he nick of time however he'd mentioned it, and take his warning and his advice. She couldn't though, not just yet. Not with self-pity and loneliness and failure like wads of cotton in her mouth.
