Jack, of course, was a blank slate as he always had been. Her thoughts had been open to him from day one, of course, so he was used to skimming them and packing away the important parts. "So fuckin' talented, but you didn't even think to bring someone with you?" He raised his eyebrows. "Next deal I make, you can come with."
