He gets a split second to decide as she begins to move, antlered head lowering to him, and he can feel his body prepared to spring, to either connect head on as well or slip away. But as she dives for his side — the wounded side, he hops away from it, avoiding the gouge of those antlers into him.
It almost looks like she trips as he goes to whirl around, and for a second he wants to laugh — only… Something about it is rather sad, honestly. She’d just gotten her legs back and here he was, goading her when they both were hurting. He huffs out a small sigh, stepping away and not attacking again. Amalia, look. I’m sorry for what happened.
