The grin stayed, though it lost a bit of its brilliance as she revealed not only that she didn't know anything about Caido, but also that she didn't know where she was from. "That's alright. Come, why don't you sit down?" He gestured for her to take a seat at the base of the tree.
Whether or not she did, he'd settle down in the sands, pulling his knees partly in and resting his arms on them. "I don't know where you're from. But I suspect you were brought to this world, which is called Caido, through a portal." He paused to let that fact sink in.
