Jigano shouts an order that the alchemist doesn't obey. He isn't here to play saviour or hero. Lives will be lost in panic; bones crushed, lungs punctured, bodies trampled and burned and all with agonizing slowness. Once, the question of easing the suffering of a few versus stopping the spread of disaster would have been one Remi wouldn't have had the tools to ponder. Now, it wasn't even a question.

Let the heroes, hero.

Descending down swiftly towards the streets, Remi tries to target those crushed underfoot or beneath buildings. Partially shifting—manticore wings protect him from falling debris and smoke, and a scorpion tail for near-instant death—he spares little time in seeking out those crying for assistance.

Those he finds will be held in his arms, illusionary images of sunlight and picnics on the beach soothingly overlaying the reality of Haulani. Hopefully, the quick bite of the barbs on his tail will send them away quickly. Should he encounter those beneath the rubble, he'll use earth and telekinesis to shift it, before carrying on.
