This, with everything else, ignites that flame within him of that shadowed silvery darkness, the tides of storms crashing within him, and he manages to try and recover enough to press back to her, a shaking hand lifting to steal the dagger back and flipping it onto her – against her wrist and pressing down.
“Then don’t.” He snaps with a clattering of fanged teeth, surprisingly breathy as his soul continues to feel like it’s bounding within him, tearing and searing and jerking as if it’s trying to break free. He, too, tries to push away from the demigod, a growl finding its way to his throat.
