Reaching into a crevice, she picked out a seashell some bird had dropped there, and came back with it in hand. It was small and white and wound into a tight spiral - a small conch shell - and she put it down by the base of the white rock. It all but disappeared amidst the flowers.
"I can find better ones too" she promised, though it was unclear whether she spoke to Remi, the rock or her sister, wherever she might be.
