The girl has turned back now, and Haai remains a touch away from her as Sunjata nears, shifting back into himself and landing rather heavily in the ground a small ways from the path as he moves to take those typical long strides to catch up. “What should we get for lunch?” He asks quietly, trying to mask up that pang within him to focus on something else.
