Lord, what fools these mortals be!
Once she’d mastered flying, Lily thought it was maybe just the best thing ever.
Like most newly-ish Attuned with bird shifts, she flies everywhere for awhile. Just because she can. Going as high as she can, the nightingale settles at the tops of trees and buildings, she flies in Torchline and in the Ground (Halo is already waaaaay too cold for a little bird like herself). And eventually, in the midst of flitting from home to the market, she realizes that there’s someone… setting up a camp on top of the Spire? During Leafchange?
That seems a little odd. And impractical. There are plenty of abandoned places that can be fixed up - especially with Deepfrost on its way. No, no, no - that simply will not do.
Zipping down to the bottom of the Spire, Lily shifts back to her human form and starts to climb the stairs. She isn’t quiet, doesn’t try to hide the fact that she’s coming up. And as she reaches the top (maybe a little out of breath, who knows), she peeks her head up to the flattened top. “Uh - Hi. What are you doing up here?” Because it’s just… not normal.
