He meets Ronin’s gaze, spying the look on his face that seems to say even he is over that particular bullshit. And in a way, Sunjata both is and isn’t as well. A cross between wanting to know what Maea’s last words were, and at the same time too prideful to give into being pushed around again in order to do it. He’s not ready to let Lusea go, and he wonders how far he can go to pretend just enough to get the words out and move on. Instead, he snorts and scoffs, a mix of sounds he’s not sure where they come from, before looking down into the glass in his hand. “It felt like she tried to take my soul. Said that if I couldn’t let go of the dead I was as good as the dead and I shouldn’t be here.” He rolls his eyes, muscle feathering in his jaw.
All of his attention, however, aligns back on Ronin with Safrin – what had occurred and where to go from here. He watches the shrug of shoulders, head tilting somewhat avianlike as a small pulse of anxiety sent wide, not particularly keeping them under wraps unless he knew attuneds were around. “I’ll watch your back if you watch mine?” A small ghost of a smirk crossing his face to that before sighing. “I’ve asked to be something for her, why I got the daggers in the first place. Not sure I can really back out now. But I have your back, Ronin.” A brow raises thoughtfully. “Here whenever you need me.”
