Everyone's experiences are different, and I can only imagine you have quite a few insights others lacked." Tone complimentary, he gave her an encouraging nod. He found he was actually very excited to hear more about the land that had been mentioned to him more than once.
Eyes sparkling a bit, he smirked. "Who said I was a good boy? You did say you had to punish me earlier, didn't you?" He licked his lips, making no attempt to hide his flirtation or his open admiration at this point.
Surprisingly, he found himself grinning as the conversation swung back around to Zariah. "Joke's on her. She made the mistake of disowning me, which means I can ignore her tantrums except when it suits me." He winked at the blonde, hoping she'd join him in his amusement.
Still grinning, he nodded. Leading her through the halls, he stopped at another door not too far away. "These are the kitchens. I've always found it beneficial to befriend the chefs. And the rest of the staff, of course." Actually it was more than that. He legitimately liked getting to know the people he worked with. Indeed, as he opened the door, he looked around the room fondly. It was one of his favorite places, strange as that might seem.
Slipping his arm out, he headed towards the corner, where a pot of mulled cider was kept at most hours. Pouring two glasses, he held one out for her.
