"If I don't start organized, I won't have something to feel bad about in a week." Nate jokes back easily, carting his armful ahead of Remi, not noticing the sheer number of boxes held up by the other man until he sets his own down and turns. "Jesus, you really know how to make a man feel inadequate, huh?" The words are blurted out with a surprised laugh, Nate leaving the newly minted governor to handle what was left, and going to start unpacking things instead. Though Remi's organization is good, Nate finds a few things he packed wrong, things that need to moved around from room to room.
Nate's in the hallway when the alchemist calls out to him, and he has to turn to see just which box the other man is talking about. Just in time to watch start falling to the ground. Nate steps forwards, not knowing what his plan is, when the box stops. At least, the walls of the box do. The bottom gives out, spilling various implements for examinations, scattering them across the hallway with a metallic clatter. Nate looks over the mess, brow raised, then turns back to Remi with a shrug. "Not breakable, then. But messy."
On the roof, Sunjata is able to shift out of the eagles way, his panicked path of feathers drawing the raptor after him, once it's able to break out of it's dive. There's another shriek from the bird as if moves after him, flapping to try and get height before trying again to tear at the now far more suitable body. They are away from the nest though, and the bird becomes a cat, the hissing and claws more a deterrent that seems to get through to the eagle, one last piercing shriek echoing from it before it moves to a nearby rooftop, keen eyes watching the cat. There is another, smaller cry from the nest now, the baby once nestled so safely within it wobbling across the roof, trying to follow the cry of its mother.
The string of curses is indeed noticed, by Nate at least, and he leaves Remi to the spilled box as he goes to investigate, finding Jiao in a surprisingly messy room. He leans against the doorframe, watching her scrub at the webs and... stickier chunks, for a moment. "Looks good." He's not sure if he should be supportive or not, but he settles for a little bit of gentleness. "When you're done with the last of that, I've got boxes that need to be unpacked in here. Most of the first room is done, if you want to make it match, but as long as everything is in a drawer and it makes some sense, it should be fine." The boxes outside the door hold bandages and examination tools, as well as various other odds and ends, but are for the most part grouped together within the boxes.

Sunjata was successful in driving away the eagle, though it's not far away, and it's chick is still on the roof
Jiao is successful in her cleaning, and has been asked to help unpack boxes
