The only thing more embarrassing at losing to spiders was having someone see you do it, and Jiao automatically hunched over the cloth as Nate came up trying to hide what she was doing: but it was too late, he'd seen it. He was nice enough, but she couldn't help but feel he was trying to be nice, in a way that made her cheeks warm with further embarrassment.
At least the floor was now clean enough and she was sure she could do the second task laid at her feet. How could she possibly mess up taking things out of boxes? Nodding at Nate she flitted over to the supplies, opening up the containers and seeing what she had first before beginning to take the items out group by group and organise them into drawers, using a system that made sense to her (whether it would make sense to anyone else was a gamble, but Nate hadn't given her much direction).
