Delphine
The window was opened and as soon as Sunjata had turned away from the window, a bright pink bird collided with the back of the man's head. The bird squawked, "Delphine! Delphine!" as he hit the countertop, feathers ruffled. A little brown pouch was tied around his neck.
The galah surveyed the strangers, hopping away from Sunjata, staying on the counter. "Delphine, Delphine." He repeated before taking flight, to slam into the side of her head, and quickly hide in her hair.
He was a shy bird.
"Poe!" Delphine squealed, as soon as the bird had said her name the second time. She raised her hands to untangle the brightly colored bird, and held him out to Nate. "Poe-Poe is a bird. And he has more fun!" She reached to shake the little pouch around the bird's neck.
