The window opens, and he glances to the stars briefly, before turning to watch the interaction – and of course, he can’t simply be left alone. Not as there’s a sudden impact to the back of his head and the flurry of pink feathers that sour his stomach, remind him so much of a wedding he’d much rather forget, and the frown that grows on his face deepens when his hand goes to the back of his head and the bird finally makes its way to Delphine.
Suddenly, it makes sense. A companion. Even still, Haai is on the alert, standing and staring at the bird with an intense enough stare that would certainly seem like that was the birds last warning. Meanwhile, his gaze flickers back to Nate at the look given – and he doesn’t need an attuned bond to realize what the Ascended is trying to say. He tries to give back as apologetic of one as he can, moving to step a bit closer and rest his hand on Nate’s shoulder to give it a squeeze, before he leans down after the Ascended takes the pouch. “If we have something that can knock her out, we can leave her on Remi and Ronin’s porch.” He whispers to Nate, steel gaze flickering back up to Delphine to see how she’s doing.
