His gaze flickers from Delphine back to Nate when the Ascended mentions they might not have anything that will, lips pursing ever so slightly as he squeezes Nate’s shoulder and keeps his hand there while his focus returns to Delphine – separating out all of the ‘fun’ this woman’s had. Something coils in his gut with it, and he takes a deep inhale, exhaling slowly through his nose as he hears Nate’s request for water – reaching forward to grab the glass and fill it again and set it next to the woman again.
“Then you need to get some sleep.” He offers in a similar tone that Nate does – no room for budging. Though as he says it, he wonders if perhaps he could finagle a sort of hammock on his neighbors porch, perhaps leave her in their lawn with a few spare blankets. All he knows is that he wants this awkward encounter over with – too many strange memories and flickers of thoughts that make him uncomfortable to begin with.
