It was hard to miss the shouting when it happened, but the voices weren’t familiar and it seemed to be over almost as quickly as it had begun. If there had been less people around, Rance might even have been curious, but instead he rolled his eyes and continued to watch the crowd. There were a few familiar faces — Quanil, someone who might have been his little-seen employer — but they were all busy with their own conversations and Rance wasn’t about to interrupt just because he was a feeling a little twitchy.
