A smirk curled across Neron's lips, and he tapped a finger absently against the bar. "It's hard to say," he murmured. "Northaven was well established by the time I was old enough to question it. I was practically raised there," he said. "But I did always wonder, if we wouldn't have been better off defending ourselves. How many people didn't make it through the portal? How many were left in Northwind to die?" He shrugged.
