He kicked at the sand with a heel and shrugged, not even trying to disguise his frustration.

And it's her dream, and I don't have to help out if I don't want to, she just want me to be happy and laugh and joke like when I was a kid." Said the kid, who had stopped being one far too early and hardly remembered what it was like to have no cares in the world. "Probably she's right about all of it, but I still feel overrun. Am I supposed to just leave her sitting with a project that's too big for one person to handle alone? I can't, and she knows that."
