Bastien let their hands touch for a moment then pulled his away, going to hold his wine glass and sip it as he waited for his aura to take effect for Amun. While he obviously had not experienced it for himself, he had seen it's power over other distressed people and hoped it might calm some of the grief. He realised, while watched Amun relax, that he had never actually used it for it's 'intended' purpose of dazing someone for feeding.He just wasn't that kind of man, he supposed.
At the question he tilted his head side to side and shrugged. "We are as well as we can be physically. Excited for our new arrival: we have painted a room upstairs with the most wonderful mural for their room and have been making plenty of plans." Bastien had begun to collect ideas in a book for things to do with the baby, things to say, practice...he was sure it would get mostly thrown out when things came to actual practice, but for the moment it made him feel better.
