It’s not dying I’m afraid of
His magic is so pretty. Hers, so far as she had discovered, came with no sparks or obvious signs. Cuts just stitched themselves up and bruises just disappeared. How boring in comparison. ”I would offer to fix that shirt for you, but honestly, you’d be better off asking the banshee.” Though she could sew, she really did hate it. Her patch jobs were generally terrible and half the time she gave them to a neighbor who was happy to do some sewing in exchange for a bit of meat.

The dragon licks her, and she closes one eye and screws up her lips in mild disgust. His words catch her attention, though she only mutters a response that he is unlikely to hear well. ”Not sure I’m the one who hasn’t noticed.” The words are covered up by her attempts to wipe away the dragon slime, and if she wasn’t busy dealing with the banshee, she’d absolutely wipe it on Loren. Lucky for him, she is a hunter first and foremost, so she only flicks some in his direction.

Apparently he has some of the same hunter sensibilities, asking what they ought to do with the body. ”I don’t know. Are there any good uses for banshee parts? Seems a shame to waste it.” Though it’s not like they would eat it, and even if they would, there’s hardly any meat on those bones. Hell, even the cannibals probably wouldn’t want it. But maybe there were some useful bits they ought to take with them.
