The Alchemist listens, trying to hear both the things said and unsaid. Wessex isn't one to mince her words and yet when it comes to the Voice, Remi has never heard her speak so cryptically. But given that she's doing so intentionally, he doesn't ask for clarification. He will one day, should the situation or need arises though. "Oh, I can think of someone who'd disagree." That someone was precisely who Wessex thought it was. Ronin argued plenty with Safrin and had very nearly turned away from her altogether. His head continues to shake as he rubs a hand against the back of his head.
