MORGAN
Morgan, thankfully, had never been a heavy sleeper. Always alert, always ready for the next attack; she had woken at the first noises and subtle signs of something going wrong, was already heading to the barracks (cloak around her shoulders as always) when the world turned upside down.
The large explosion was so loud that even though she was fortunate enough to be in a part of the palace mostly untouched she still had to press against the wall for a moment, hands clapped over her ears and eyes closed tight shut. The second she could begin to move again, not letting herself wonder of all the destruction that had occurred, she continued to march down to the barracks, to find how many of her guards were still alright.
Looking out of a window on the way down she noticed the arcane academy, stood pristine and unharmed. Morgan's eyes narrowed. There were certainly implications in that, someone in particular that could be to blame: but blame could come later. Right now, it was the time for action. Heading into the barracks she intended to begin yelling orders, getting her guards up and dressed and ready for what was to come.
