"Don't worry darling, I'll take care of you once I'm done wiping the floor with you." There's something simpering in Nate's tone, despite the fact that it's more taunting. And somewhere deep down, Nate knows he should be careful, with his words and blows both, not wanting to cause real harm or get so cocky that the fall hurt when he fucked it up.
Falling comes sooner than he expects, and in a way he very much doesn't expect. Sunjata steps forward, closer than seems wise really, though Nate is going to keep his word, keep his hand down. "I just thought it might even it ou-" Words comes to an abrupt halt as Nate's feet are swept out from under him, sending his back thudding into the sand. It's a good thing he doesn't need breath, because all of it would have been driven from him by the impact. He has just enough sense to reach out though, to grab at the offending leg and tug, dragging the other man onto the floor as well.
Nate's lucky in the sense that he needs far, far less recovery time than someone else, say, the attuned laid out next to him. He shifts with a groan, feeling places in his back protest as he moves and ignoring it, shifting to crouch over Sunjata, right fist raised. He waits, wanting the steel eyes to meet dancing blues before he swings, aiming for the other mans jaw, for a knockout. The blow never connects though, at least not as anything more than a nudge, fingers uncurling to spread over the cheek instead. "Maybe next time." He chuckles, claiming the little victory easily.
