As Loren moves away, she lets him, though not because she wants him to go. No, she lets him go because he needs to, and for the moment, she will not chase. Well, I give second chances, but not third.” But she will have him now, so long as he tries. She will have the version of him that he is trying to be.
”We have bigger things to deal with than mage glass right now,” she agrees, curling into him. She doesn’t need a moment of privacy though, doesn’t need to consider whether she wants him. She is not here because he is convenient. If that were all she needed, a warm body to hold her, she would have found Korbin. It would not be the first time they had curled into bed together, like they had done so many times as little children. No, she found Loren tonight because she wanted him.
