The knock at her door surprised Juniper. Her fellow Fae rarely sought her out -- at least, not for good reasons. She considered not answering, suspecting that the encounter might go poorly. Life became a little darker for Juniper after the Ascended's attack on the Mathair, which made certain Fae even more hostile to outside influence, and anyone suspected of promoting it, even unto the third generation.but it's the easiest thing to do
But finally Juniper went to the door. Maybe this time someone would be kind to her. It wasn't unheard of.
She was aware enough of the opposite possibility, however, that she didn't immediately open the door, simply called through it, "Who's there?"
