Taking a shuddering breath to steady her nerves, the witch tapped into the reserve of power that had once been so foreign to her, pouring healing energy into trying to close the wound. "I'm Vai," she said suddenly, as if names were important since they were so close. "And I think I owe you drinks for the rest of your life."
