What really piqued his concern was the dead, numb, almost blind way that the boy was navigating the world. Even his reply is given with none of his usual moodiness - this was how Chuy knew just how unwell the other must be.
He wasn't surprised. Grief was a bitch, and it manifested in everyone slightly differently. He himself had broken down, had leaned on Kia for support, had got himself out of his funk and put himself back to work, though he still felt like shit, it was clearly nothing compared to that which rocked Korbin's psyche.
"Follow me," he commanded, before leaning into his wheelbarrow again and picking up his trail. He didn't really have a plan, but he had to try something. "Follow!" he said a bit louder, over his shoulder, in case the boy had other ideas.
