He didn't like this insistence, it would force interactions that he didn't want. Already his thoughts were returning towards the tavern, the booze, the oblivion he still craved... now more then ever. There had been a vague plan to hand him over to the healer and be on his way.
And yet, if Chulane kept insisting then the healer wouldn't use magic. Wouldn't do anything without consent, really. Korbin would end up saddled with this idiot, even though he didn't want to.
"Never mind. If you're going to be a fool then it's on you. I've done all I can." If there were complications, Korbin couldn't fix them anyway. What good would checkups do? Either the guy was fine or he was not; at least he wasn't dying in the snow.
