Why have a navigator along at all, if you're just going to stick her in the back? Cheers, RNG. Maybe this was a sign she was meant to be some sort of chronicler. At least from back here, Eloise would be able to detail just how all the idiots ahead of her died (or heroically survived, you never know).

If they were going to set off any loose stones she didn't want to be too close, but nor was she planning on being left behind or being forced to deal with the fallout of whatever came ahead on her own.
