The fist connects, and already she can feel the air between her joints popping with the force of it. But then she’s withdrawing, pulling into her defensive stance, lips curling into a slight sneer as he doesn’t even try to block it — watching instead as he staggers a small amount and she realizes she’s drawn blood.

Good, he deserves it.

Her gaze narrows on him as he draws quiet, inspecting the blood as if perhaps she’d not done a good enough job — but that’s fine. There’s certainly more where that came from. But his question doesn’t help alleviate her frustrations, in fact she can see the way it ignites more within her. “No.” She snaps at him.

“I want you to tell me.” She could do this all day, settled there in wait, the feathers ruffling against her skin, teeth sharp as she glares back at Korbin. “Start talking.” Her fists are still raised, waiting for him to try and strike or for her to unleash herself again.
