They are so clever with their light, their glowing fish, their luxere...but the monsters are clever too. Drawn back by the extra light, the creatures hide in the darkness like bitter and starving rats. They consider sacrificing their own to use as a shield, and perhaps it will come to that...for now, they have tricks... Electricity snaps out from the darkness, striking the shield on Amalia's back. It throws her forward into the ground, spraining a wrist should she use her arms to brace, and skinning her knees. The bolt carries with it a static that sinks into her bones, making her limbs feel far away and sluggish.
