But then she’s commenting on the burns and a humorless laugh leaves him, a nod as his hand moves to trace over the edge of the burn to his shoulder. “Mhm. Got roped into helping evacuate a creature in the fingers. A lava octopus. Didn’t like me much.” His hand slips away to run through his wet hair and slicking it back as he lets his eyes land on her again. “As for the rain? The rain feels like home. Wouldn’t mind more of it.”
