As Jack appears, I take one look at his bruise and laugh. “Not with that ugly mug lookin’ back at me,” He descends the gangplank and I resist the urge to take his fance in my hands and get a closer look at the healing an’ what kind of damage was done. Sure, the guy’s definitely gotten worse, but I don’t like bein’ reminded of his mortality. Crossin’ m’arms, I just nod and bit my lower lip instead. “The Gov’ner,” I answer, quieter than I’d been before.
