She squeezed his hand back instinctively, still more focused on where they were headed and why than anything. Phoebe grinned as he called her cheeky but...it quickly turned into a look of confusion. Lashes fluttered as she blinked, counting the days in her head. "Oh!" she said, realizing it suddenly. "I suppose it is! I've not really celebrated it since coming so I guess I forgot." she admitted with a sheepish laugh. Something so trivial as a birthday seemed so unimportant in the last few years, she simply hadn't taken the time.
"Is that what this is all for? My birthday?" she said, grinning brightly. How very sweet of him! She glanced over at the cove, excited now herself. Swimming at the beach was fine but having an occassion made it even better.
