SUNJATA
the flood
'cause we might as well be blind,
if seeing is believing, this parable's misleading
Deimos doesn’t look at him, though Sunjata doesn’t mind it. He prefers it, honestly, makes it easier to converse with the Sword without that slight tremor of memory sparking up again of a tiger shift, of claws boring into his side, claws of which he still bears the scars from – as if he could forget that Deimos didn’t follow through with his promises and vengeance. But he takes another sip from his glass, keeping his own gaze away from Deimos, letting the information of when the wedding and where the wedding would take place when they got to that point.

He doesn’t expect such a drastic shift of conversation – to LongNight, something heavy and dark and rough, and Sunjata takes a long yet quiet inhale. “It’s quiet here. Most people party on the beaches the whole week. I got stuck in Rae’s Fingers with a few others to remove this… Lava octopus?” He turns so he faces ahead where Deimos faces now, a rise and fall of his burned shoulder offered.

But there’s an exhale given, a bit heavier. “I heard about what happened in the Grounds. I’m sorry for your loss.” He offers, glancing over toward Deimos – having gathered and heard how close Rexanna had been to the Sword, how close the Penumbra had been to Hotaru as well. “Nate tried to keep Clemente here for LongNight… But Clem had other ideas.” A shake of his head, gaze dropping to glass. They’d failed in that attempt, but had they managed it perhaps the Queen would still be alive. Perhaps Clemente would still be alive as well.

Perhaps Deimos wouldn’t have so much guilt.
you've got your shotgun loaded with excuses
— that you'll fire in vain —
but those 12 rounds just won't do
No permission needed for power play!
Feel free to use magic/force on Sunjata, without killing him <3
Sunjata speaks with an Australian accent and has a passive magic that makes him produce a subtle scent that matches exactly to whatever those around him most desire him to smell like.
