JACK
Well thank fuck for a little bit of luck.
Melita arrives at Jack’s side and (ignoringEloise thank you very much) he nods at where he’s currently gripping the wheel. ”Turn as I do,” he grates out, his newly bum arm tucked against his chest. Still, together they should be able to straighten the Ark’s course and steer her through this mess. And it works, for a miracle, the duo soaked and exhausted at the end of it all, but successful.
The same can be said forSaiden and the illusionist. Sails drop, water comes under masterful persuasion, and fuck but they might just be outrunning the storm. There’s a few hairy moments, a few near misses, but close to an hour later and the seas are a little calmer. The world’s a little brighter.
And there’s work to do.
”Sails up,” Jack calls through a voice made rough with fatigue and shouting. He nods at Eloise, as if to ask her to help corral the men and get on with it. ”Take count of our losses, clean up the deck, make a start on repairs. An’ help yourself to a fuckin’ drink, while you’re at it.”
A rumbling cheer goes up from the crew. It’s a win - no deaths. Not this time.
You’ve made it through the storm! Pick a task to start cleaning up, and once everyone’s posted we’ll consider it a wrap. Thanks guys! <3
