A swipe and there’s lightning again, instinctively flinching away from both the brightness and the crackling of burning flesh. His eyes finally focus as the lightning disappears, flickering into nothing just as Sunjata watches the large paw of the sea panther swipe out at him. And down he goes again, a hiss and a curse, the feeling of blood pouring through sharp pulsing wounds, clinging to bits and pieces of the shirt he wears that’s half there half not from the prior lightning.
He growls as he hits the sand and Zeph moves to pull him back. And he struggles at first, sure he can get up himself, but he can feel the way the claw swipes hit where skin pulls and tears, and he grits his teeth instead, fangs flaring in his frustration. These naturals better not say he’s done nothing for them. Once behind the barrier, Sunjata moves to his knees, nausea sparking somewhere within him as he focuses back on the panther, hand moving to try and keep from bleeding out too much.
He hopes Deimos can handle it, but mentally he sends Haai out once again to circle the panther and breathe fire upon it once again.
Sunjata almost doesn’t let Zeph pull him back, but gives in, and sends Haai out to use her fire breath on the panther again.
