My jaw drops when the sky lights up, the lightning storm a magnificent combination of magic and nature. When Zeph gets back with Sunjata, I cheer on the big guy an’ then elbow Zeph and mutter with no small degree of urgency, “We gotta get us some fancy shit from the Gods.” Otherwise we don’t stand a chance against the next one, against anyone who comes for our people. Because even though they’re out there doing this shit for us, even though Jata’s proving he’s either super dedicated or super stupid, I still can’t let ‘im in the way I do with the Torchers.
Putting my fingers to my lips, I wolf whistle for the lone man still standing. He can do it,just one more hit, right?
