And besides, she couldn’t reach in for the shard thing, though she would if the spirit were made of anything other than fire (good job, Eirachi, sending the most flammable into caverns of death).
“Okay,” the demigod agrees with a shrug, moving to keep Amalia and everyone else within her use-radius. Hoping that Loren would be quick with his task, she wonders if there might not be a better way to do this - but they seem to be argue, so she falls in line.
As soon as Amalia uses the water magic in the shield, Wessex also takes hold of the magic and tries to create the other half of the ice shield around the group.

Wessex uses magic re-resonance from Amalia's use of Loren's magic cast into the shield to mirror Amalia's use and complete an ice wall around them and Tanau to keep the magma out
