Remi’s shift has the vines tearing from their roots as he prevents himself from being dragged further. The chewing does wonders at breaking through, and the Alchemist will find that he’s free – just in time to spot Zephyr as he attempts to use a shirt to attack the Treeflits. It looks like an exaggerated game of whack a mole, where poor Zephyr misses each and every one.
Luckily for you Zephyr, Ronin’s got your back. The Treeflits are vaporized, leaving smoke and pieces in their wake, drifting along the current of the air.
Phoebe’s words do little to dissuade the vines, but Pim manages to hit the treeline where the vines had appeared from. The trees, wet with the rain and monsoons, surprisingly don’t catch fire – but the act of it does invoke a thick fog that surrounds the group. Through it, however, there’s a path forward toward the thicker jungle. Beyond it, you all can hear the chiming sound of birds beyond.
