In the air both Alina and Ianto have utterly lost the attention of the landshark. Like leaving the water when dealing with a normal shark, it is only those still in its ocean that it worries about. Just Nephele and Delphia.
WithDelphia suddenly gone somehow (and with her the delicate tang of her blood), there is only Nephele to focus on. Though the fae's animal-magnetism goes far to protect her, this is not a creature of the Greatwood. Perhaps that is why it is not as susceptible to her charm. Ignoring completely the thump Alina produces, the shark lunges out of the air and towards the copper-haired fae. However as Delphia 's magic slams against the creature it is thrown off-course. What might have been a life-ending blow merely grazes the foot of the fae.
Thrashing, and not at all wanting its soul torn from its body, the Landshark dives back down into the sand.
