The stream of water caused Loren to abort his charge. Not because of the force, exactly, but because it blinded him and got in his mouth and nose. Continuing to move towards Morgan, he adjusted his approach so he was headed to one side of her. As he did, he swept out with own paw.

Not at her though, but at the ground beside her. His claws scoured the ice and snow sending it flying in a cloud of projectiles directly towards her. The snow was just a distraction, but hopefully the ice might actually score a few cuts on her.
