Amun shook his head at the declaration. "No. You're the devil of the deep blue sea. Horns and wings and despair in your wake." Jutting out his chin, he met the devil's gaze. The potter's expression was unwavering, lips drawn downwards in a scowl.

His mouth became a firm line as he shook his head again, just once. Hands becoming fists again, he snarled, "No. I'm a meteorite. I may be a child of the night sky but I have no parents." Nostrils flaring, his eyes narrowed.

"I know." It came out in a whisper. "But the light is a trap, used by predators to trick their prey. Like a pretty face can trick a lover into a bed they shouldn't be in." He cocked his head to one side and smiled. "Which you know all about."

Whining as the claws dug into his shoulders, his own fingertips shifted into claws that pierced the other man's shirt. "You won't know unless you try. And an empty vessel is easier to fill." Pausing, he breathed in deep, the devil's scent causing the Ascended's eyes to zero in on the tantalizing neck right in front of him. "Please," Amun repeated. "I'm so thirsty."

by being moved I exert my empire,
