Rushing down and outside, Nate drops off his cargo, being as gentle as he can with the things that require it before rushing back into the house, meaning to grab the most important thing of all. Flames lick at the kitchen window, a prelude to the hellscape he rushes into. ”Sunny!” Nate isn’t willing to rush into the heart of the fire, even to grab his lover, but he goes as close as he dares, reaching out to grab Sunjata’s attention. With only one of them able to fight the fire, there’s no way it can be contained. They can only get out.
